Matauri Bay Subdivision

Stunning vista’s across white sandy beaches and the clear blue waters of the Pacific to the Cavalli Islands and beyond made the “view from the office” at Matauri Bay on the eastern coast of Northland one that is unlikely to be bettered anytime soon for the staff of our Kerikeri branch.

In 2007 Matauri Bay Properties Limited selected United Civil Construction as the construction company it would use to assist in bringing to fruition its vision of a unique, high quality and eco-friendly coastal development project in one of New Zealand’s most spectacular settings.

Works undertaken by United Civil included earthworks, drainage and box culvert construction, kerbing, road and carpark construction and trenching for underground utilities.  Throughout the course of the work, we liaised closely and on a continual basis with the Principal, their specialist advisors and other contractors, with a view to adding value to the project and ensuring that the outturn product was not only constructed in accordance with specifications, but also reflected the expectations and aspirations of the developer.

In the words of our client:

“The many facets of the Matauri Bay Development are carefully considered resulting in a high quality and innovative environment unique to the Far North.  Design detail required close and considered co-operation with the Principal Contractor, United Civil Construction ensuring local character and optimal sustainable construction outcomes. United Civil Construction, its management team and operational staff are to be commended for the outstanding result achieved”. Pat Durham, Director Matauri Bay Properties
