United Civil Construction has experience in delivering civil infrastructure through the design and construct procurement process, including roads and highways, wastewater treatment plants and land development projects. One recent instance of a design and construct project completed by United Civil was the rehabilitation and upgrade of Shoemaker Road for the Whangarei District Council.

Drawing on the technical and operational expertise of our staff, and utilising the design capability of a Northland based civil engineering consultant, we developed and implemented a design that provided the client with a high quality, yet cost effective construction solution for the upgrade of this 3km section of rural road. Works undertaken included strengthen the pavement to provide twenty five year design life, alignment modifications, drainage works, slope stabilisation and bituminous surfacing.

This project typified United Civil’s award winning approach to contracts and resulted in a high quality road rehabilitation which was built relying on sound design and construction techniques and was delivered to the client within the required timeframe and budget.
